Patrick McGuire's recent
memorial sculpture pays tribute to Pam Lychner and her daughters, Shannon and Katie, whom
lost their lives in the July 1996 TWA Flight 800 plane crash.
The sculpture is a life size bronze representation of Pam and her daughters seated closely
in a semi-circle. The mothers arms are placed around the girls
- protecting them
for all eternity. The youngest daughter, Katie, is gazing up at the mother, while the
oldest daughter, Shannon, looks forward to the future. The sculpture symbolizes a
mothers love and the importance of family unity.

Dedication of the memorial took place on
July 15, 1997 - marking the one year anniversary of the crash - at the Town Hall Park in
the Lychner's home community of Spring Valley in Houston, Texas.
